Central locking not working

As well as the car not starting when hot I can't lock it, press the buttons its sounds like it locks then unlocks the alarm is set but the car is not locked any ideas?
This has only happened since the car has been re-sprayed, the doors boot and bonnet were taken off.

This happened on mine and it was because the pin switch on one of the doors (on the body where bottom of door hits it) was not being pushed in enough.
It's meant to have a corresponding bit of rubber attached to the door which had fallen off on mine. I've now replaced it and all is working (I pit a small screw through both bits of rubber to keep them attached). Easy to test just hold the suspect pin in with the door open and see if it locks.
Either that ot it could be a dodgy pin switch perhaps.

I'd agree with Gareth

I remember on my Griff that it would refuse to lock if the doors were not both shut properly. The alarm/immobiliser still arms automatically though.

As the interior light is worked off the same sensors, this would be a good indicator.

(I know this from having been daft enough to put the car in a garage without one of the doors closed fully. Didn't lock it - of course I found out the next morning that the interior light is just enough drain on the battery.... )

When you test it make sure you push a pen through the lock to simulate the door being closed aswell as holding in the pin switch oh the pen has to go 2 clicks
