I mean folk probably late seventies and into their eighties and beyond. Now, I'm not proud of this, I know it's not clever, and I'm into wrinkly territory myself, but I couldn't help it.. even as I turned the key the grin was emerging on my face biggrin

So, local garden centre, actually very famous as one of the countries leading authorities on roses, massive selection of the things.. Oh, and lots of old folk biggrin

Only stopped by to buy a lawn edge cutter thingy, and I'd parked beastie right opposite the entrance.. exhausts facing the doors. It's not like I planned it, these five old folk ambled into my rear view mirror just as I was inserting the key, and the idea of waiting till they'd gone inside did occur to me - briefly... So, turned the key with just the slightest amount of throttle, and all five litres of fully de-catted glory exploded into life (and it does sound like an explosion rather than a car starting up). Thankfully, despite the frankly worrying but hilarious reactions none of them passed out, fell over, or needed medical attention smile And, perfectly timed, what appeared to be the oldest of the group, a kindly looking gentlemen leaning heavily on his walking stick, turned round and grinned at me... priceless....

You ought to get one in your car.

For slow movers, they can sit up and go rigid rather quickly.

I know these things...hehe

I had the other end of the spectrum ... I was up near York doing a Control 4 training course for work, I was booked into some really crappy 'motel' style B&B run by a family in some village there and popped into the nearest retail park to get a McDonalds milkshake as it was a massively hot day.

As I walked back to my car there was a family stood by my TVR trying to get their little lad (must only have been five years old or so) to follow them and he was stood looking at the Tiv ... I blipped the alarm and opened the door and said to him "Would you like to hear it?"

He nodded excitedly so I warned him that it was a bit loud ...

... I started it up and he burst into tears! biggrin

Good one Chilli. hehe

I know what you mean - I look at people in their late seventies/eighties and see "old", and have to remind myself that I am 62 outside, 19 inside.
And when I am 82 outside, God willing, I will still be 19 inside and enjoying the sight neat female arses in tight jeans. yes
And still taking the Chim to race tracks with the lads, that's if we can all still get into, and more particularly, out of, our Tivs.
And if L'Etat du Nanny hasn't taken our licences away by then.furious

Phew, I read the title and then thought I'd read about adventures, too much red wine and your trouser area, thank God it's not!
