Hi, Brought my Chimaera about six months ago iv just put it in for MOT failed on emission test because it has a decat Y piece fitted at the front. They tell it needs a catted V clamp Y piece, does any body know about these need help. Thank you

Ask among your local TVR & Lotus community, there are answers to this issue that don't require Y piece replacement. Many TVR owners have these decat Y pieces

It is from a L reg 400, so should be perfect.

I presuming yours is bolted to the manifold (rather than clipped)?

If it is, count the bolt holes (it will be 6 or 8) - there were two different versions......

Swapping the Y piece is right pain in the arse.

I think you need to find a more 'friendly' MOT station. They do exist

My '94 seems to go through an MOT as a '94 Non Cat Vehicle' ... I'm told that it's legit.
