Front Disc & Pad upgrade

Afternoon,

I'm after a little bit of advice concerning my brakes. Both F & R discs and pads are getting quite worn and ao are due replacement. I'm going to keep the rears standard but want to uprate the fronts to grooved discs with some decent pads. What are the best to go for without breaking the bank and is it a fairly easy DIY job as I haven't rally got the spare cash at the moment to pay someone else to do it?
Braided hoses are on my upgrade list for a later date.

I'm not a fan of having different pads front and rear. Fast road pads on the front will bite less than the standard ones on the back when cold - just what you don't want in an emergency on a cold day. If you want fast road pads though, my recommendation is Ferodo DS2000.

Six pots with 330mm rotors fr and standard r for the time being with no adverse affects besides my scroat ending up by my stomach when I stop in anger.There certainly is'nt the bite you would expect.
