Hi All, got a over fuelling issue and want to see if a replacement MAF will help. Checked the one on the car (4.3 L 1993 ) and it is showing it was manufactured by Hitachi on the 2.3.1992
The numbers I have found are AFH55-1 and 73242A. The MAF has six pins but the electrical block connector only has spades in slot 2, 3, 5 & 6 if looking left to right.
Conscious of a variety of aftermarket stuff available and would like to get the compatible first time rather than posting back and having car off the road etc so question is can anyone point me to the correct aftermarket / Original part ?

Looking through my old service records, the previous owner of my 430 Chim has his rebuilt by "Blue Streak Automotive", bill was £120 ish from memory.The numbers I have found are AFH55-1 and 73242A. Could be worth a phone call to them as it keep an original part, just recondition it?
The Hitachi unit is a 3AM, and the Lucas is a 5AM, and they are plug compatible. The extra pin is not connected so nothing to worry about at all. The 3AM was replaced with the 5AM in the early 1990's, and a 5AM will be a lot easier to find.

Only use the OE ones NTK (subsidiary of NGK) about 75 each and yes they are both the same ref car can be a 93 3.9 Discovery fitted with Lucas Hotwire EFI On a similar vein, could anyone give me the right part number / reference for the lambada sensors . I'm assuming it is the same part for both sides ?

Lucas 3LS sensors are actually made by NTK Technical Ceramics; apparently the only parts manufacturer in the world making oxygen sensors with 12mm X 1.25 threads. Totally interchangeable NTK sensors are available from Nissan for a much lower price than at the Rover dealer - the only difference is that you must modify your wiring to connect them. No problem! You're going to get used to modifying the Rover wire harness. Any of the following Nissan part numbers will work: "22690-88G01", "226A0-40U60", "22690-61A00" or "22960-M210". (The various Nissan sensors have different pigtails.)

Cheers Blitzracing, that is really helpful. Don't suppose you have an idiots guide as to how to amend the wiring.
