I've got the Lupo light conversion on my car however when they were fitted I didn't get any instructions on how to adjust the beam. I've been getting a number of flashes from oncoming traffic and also a bit of shadowy missing bits on main beam which I think is because the beam is too high. Anyway any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Hers a couple of pics of the lights.

The adjusters are on the top of the rear of the headlights.

You really need to go through the wheel arches, if you haven't access, you need to make access.

Erm.... last picture shows the back of the light through an access panel in the wheel arch.

Thanks for the heads up on the location of the adjusters, I'm assuming there are two, one for up/down and the other left/right?

The adjusters are the white things you can see on the image of the light in the box,you can adjust using an allen key.

Hey, I'm lying on the sofa after a film, a chilli and copious amounts of sherbet, give me a break!

I took mine to an MOT station, explained, measured, jacked up the car, removed wheels, lowered to position and adjusted the lights. Job done. smile

My light beam seem to have shadows, I`m wondering if the cowl is encroaching the beam .

I Think that you are probably right.

Generally, the amount of light is more and stronger with the Lupo lights.

easy way to check the shadows - wear a welders helmet (or maybe 2 or three sunglasses) and lay in front of the car with the lights on - you should see where/what the encroachments are. You may or may not be able to do something about them.

Looking closer at my near side the bulb cowl definitely looks a bit offset. Time for a bit of a fiddle I think.

Depending on the room you have behind the lamp, you may have to go through the front grill and reach up and adjust the lamps.

The lupos if set up correctly give oodles of light, if l could fault them in anyway they are too modern and take away that more classic car older looking front end which the original Bosch lenses gave.

Even though I have the Lupo lights I sort of agree with you however the Chimaera is a mid nineties car not a classic and therefore I like the slightly updated look of them, it makes the front look brighter and more alive in a way. Anyway each to their own

Or take the cowls off and go for a drive .. Those wcensoredrs who fitted my lights siliconed them on and cut the fixings off ..

Interestingly the guy that I was talking to about doing me a Lupo conversion recently said that there were issues with the beam pattern being patchy ... I wonder why some people are noticing it and others don't seem to be?

I have to say that it's one conversion that I *REALLY* do like!

I`m going to pull the cowls off and try it .. They did not even use the proper connectors .

Did he say what caused the patchy beam pattern ?

Good luck if you do go ahead with the fitment.

Nope ... just that the Mark III faired in conversion was better.

Myself, I really like the Lupo look...
