Finally the results are in !
Discussion
Righto lads & lasses the results of my latest engine improvements (courtesy of Powers Performance) are now in:
468 bhp & 414 ft/lbs at the wheels.
after discussion and to maintain longevity, retain standard drivetrain, (and Dom's sanity regarding his excellent warranty!) this has now been re-tuned to:
439 bhp & 420 ft/lbs at the wheels.
I'll leave it up to anyone interested to convert to flywheel figures.
Just to add that Dom said if it wasn't for me wanting transmission longevity and security on the existing, original drivetrain (at least for now
) then a lot more could be achieved. That well known phrase "absolute power corrupts absolutely" comes to mind!
Let's just see what Old St. Nick might have in his gearbox/diff/propshaft/driveshaft sack for 2016

Thanks Gary, can't pick it up until Thursday so will post again then. It's a bit of a bugger that after all this time waiting I'm in next Tuesday for my little knee op so can't drive for a week afterwards, and I bet the weather will be bloody lovely then as well
Still all this should now give me a nice dollop of extra power and reliability built in, I mean what could possibly go wrong now ?????!!!!

You must of got rid of the thingy what spins and the 14cux
I bet he's got it under his bed as a keepsake Daz; he was really quite attached to it...

Daz, quite right, forged pistons & MBE 9a9b

Thanks chaps, I'm more than happy especially as there's more on tap if desired. With some transmission upgrades I might just make use of the extra in the future and try and give a few a run for their money..... hmmm, money, there's an interesting concept, used to have some, not no more

Thanks Alex & Lewis
I fitted the supercharger and accessories at home 18 months ago to a fairly standard, healthy motor and, after a remap on the original 14CUX achieved 430 bhp & 425 ft/lbs at the flywheel. Over time and a bit of slightly greedy fiddling by me some detonation occurred causing some piston damage. So off to Powers Performance with my mind set on MBE and forged pistons, engine stripped down, a few more issues dealt with, engine rebuilt (all at Power) and here we are.
Picked the car up a couple of hours ago and first impressions are incredibly smooth power delivery, very manageable and bloody awesome !! Albeit the roads were a bit damp but with a firm squeeze on the throttle on a minor road at 80mph in 4th the back end gave a nice twitch (the cars, not mine!) very predictable and controllable and off we went. I'll be looking for some better rubber to plant the power when on the road but already have track/race wheels and 888's which I now need to try again!
I know what you mean Iain but I suppose from Dom's perspective that's just good business, temptation is always there!

Sounds great Richard! The power crazed monkey within me wants to do the same but I just can't bare to put anything in my exhaust as it sounds too good... Think I'll have to put another supercharger on at some point I fitted the supercharger and accessories at home 18 months ago to a fairly standard, healthy motor and, after a remap on the original 14CUX achieved 430 bhp & 425 ft/lbs at the flywheel. What boost are you running? On another note... Tyres wise, go for a set of Yoko AD08Rs - they're so much better than R888's. On a set of Sp12 wheels from Tim @ ACT I run 255 rear and 225 fronts and it handles fantastically.
