Errrm No Diagnostic Tester Plug
Discussion
Help Please, especially Mark if he is available.
Have recently purchased Rover Gauge and so started looking for the Diagnostic plug near the ECU within the footwell, behind the panel. Problem is I can't find any plug of any colour that is a 3 pin connector ? My car is a 1993 Mk1 mode. Did TVR ever use a ECU loom that did not have this diagnostic plug or a loom that has it on a longer length and thus hidden somewhere else.
Many Thanks
Jeremy

The loom from the MGBV8 is different- it has a 6 pin white connector that looks like the fault code reader plug for the OBD socket- so its a possibility if TVR where inconsistent with the loom supply. Dont forget the stock "TTS" connector may have a loop back plug in it, so you cant see the three pins. Just follow the thick loom out of the ECU back about 10" (at a guess) and you should find the TTS connector with or without loopback. Ive only seen one loom on a Wedge where the socket was missing, and I had to make up a special cable that plugged directly into the back of the ECU cocket, where the connections where missing.
