Engine turned dashboard

I see quite a few on here have used the carbon effect adhesive backed vinyl sheeting for their dashboards (mine has a blue carbon effect on it), how do you think an engine turned version would look? I found this stuff.

I'm tempted to take the 'carbon' effect stuff off from mine, clean it up and then try and engine turn it myself with a drill on a stand, or if that fails, put this stuff on.

I'm sure I've seen "proper" stainless dashes like this.

No idea where they are from.

I think it could look good. The metal look vinyl these days is actually pretty good

Here's my brushed stainless vinyl on my old chim......it was even textured to feel like the real thing. Cheap as chips

Thats the look I am going for.

I spoke to SC and they do them like this but by the time it gets here its €250.00.

This sticky back plastic stuff, if it is as good as the carbon and brushed effect, I could do this for a fraction of the cost, hopefully although real stainless steel would be nicer.

Bite the bullet, these cars are worth more then sticky plastic! all imho.
