car cover rear light conversion annoying noise!

hi tvrers
just brought chim on a r plate does anyone know ehere i can get decent out door car cover from!and looking at rear light conversion are they any good and how much and where can i get one from.also have a rear boot noise took out jack and spare wheel still got noise its when i go round corners not over bumps,sonds like comming from boot. if any of you nice peple can help it would be great!!! and why i didnt buy a tvr before i will never know

Fuel tank "clonk"?

Undo the cap about half a turn, if that gets rid of the noise, get the carbon filter checked out (it's in the front passenger wing).

Loose exhaust hitting the boot floor?
Grab one of the tail pipes & give it a good waggle.

thank you will try , when i take full cap off there is a lot of presure there {like opening rad cap} could this be part of the problem? sorry for being co thick but am a tvr virgin

The noise from the boot: what is it like?
I had a very irritating noise in that area from the time i bought my 450. In this case it was a rapid sqeaking noise coming from the left rear whenever the road surface was anything other than very smooth. Holding the top of the tank and pulling it back and forth reproduced the noise. I eventually located the noise coming from the space between the fuel tank and the rear bulkhead where the tank vent pipe loops down behind the tank (on my car at least). It turned out that this was getting pinched by what feels like a flat metal plate which seems to be part of the tank mounting (working entirely by feel you understand). Anyway moving the pipe out of that position and packing the gap with a piece of foam rubber sheet has completely eliminated the problem.

also when lifting carpet i found the tank sender unit has two wires going to it and two spare with spade conectors on wich are atached to nothing is this normal??

I think (just my assumtion) these are for rear speakers, which can be fitted in the bulkhead vent holes.

Noise From the boot...?

Psssssssssst!! ....don't say anything to those grifter boys...but it has been known for a golf ball to find its way behind the tank..!!

There is a sufficient gap under the tank on the right hand side for those little blighters to get through.

Once there, they happily roll around creating a racket

What they were doing in the boot in the first place is anyone's guess

Had an annoying 'clonk' from my boot every time I went round a corner.
Turned out to be a golf ball rolling about under the tank.
Very difficult to get at but once removed all ok.
I don't think that mine is the only one that's had a rogue golf ball causing this problem.
