Coloured Brake Shoes

My Chim is Cosmos Blue and obviously being blue is very fast and i'd like to get some blue brake shoes to match the car. Has anyone else fitted coloured brake shoes and where could I get some?

Your car doesn't have brake shoes. If you mean the pads, you can get coloured ones, but they won't be visible through the wheels. Do you mean coloured calipers?

Halfwits sell caliper paint in a range of colours.. you do mean the caliper though, not the shoes (they go with drum brakes only)

I would assume that Hammerite would burn off quite quickly as its not a high temperature paint TBH.

I used red hammerite on my Supra and it lasted for years, no problems. Cleaning the calipers prior to application is a pain though.

I used that spray brake disc/caliper cleaner to clean the ones on my 914 up when I refurbed them. Its very volatile but shifts just about any level of muck/brakedust etc with a bit of elbow grease and leaves a "clean" surface for painting afterwards as it evaporates very quickly.

Would blue Calipers aid you in stopping quicker?

Well with the car being blue and that being the fastest it needs blue callipers too to stop it in the quickest time too

Not true mine are green and can be seen.

Apart !!?? you've only got to take the wheel off
