Have taken my Rad out as seem to have a leak somewhere but cant see one, so taking it for a pressure test 2morrow.Only place i seem to get the green stain is where the top pipe connects and must say the pipe isnt very round so is a possibility but havnt caught any water coming from here,

Anyhow back to the main question, does anyone have any decent tips of any maintainance that can be done while the RAD is ooott.

TIA

replace hoses with silicone ones - act tuning mail order.
far superior / look great!
my set was a trial set via penninsula - they were fine, and cheaper than expected, but they may have done me a deal.

Was quite surprised when i took the Rad to a local radiator company and the bloke said "oooo a TVR Rad, there a bloody nightmare to get out". as i didnt think they would Know what it was off.Thought i would get one over them

Well he said that the fins all look Ok but where a plate is welded over the original outlet looks like it is leaking from there.
They will pressure test it and should get it back Tuesday if that is the Prob.

Apache, can't think theres much to rustproof where the Rad sits mostly GRP but thanx anyhow.

How much for the silicon Hoses

Take a look at the earth connections that use the chassis bolt that is hidden by the rad. Clean and tighten as necessary.

Well picked the RAD up yesterday with the NEW,PROPER TANK on the passenger side of the RAD.

Apparently whoever had it recored before also replaced the tank at this end buy cutting a longer one and bending over the ends and welding it ALLA LEAKS.
Also having to put the inlet pipe the right side Alla welding leaks, Also the plate that covered the hole from the Old Pipe Alla leaks.

These where all bodged and where leaking very little except the bottom ones. Also told i woould of had no end of problems had this been left in.

Anyhow it all went back in easier than when coming out.Damage for the RAD work 73 smackers ,well happy with that.
