Windscreen replacement in West Midlands

Hi all, happy New Year and all that good stuff.

I have had a search of the forum and there are quite a lot of threads on windscreen replacement horrors and ill fitting replacements, but the latest thread seem to suggest the replacements now available from TVR Parts are of good quality and good fit......so can anyone recommend somebody experienced to replace my scree in the Midlands? I think using a TVR speciailist rather than a popular 'on the drive' screen replacement company would be best given stories of damaged trim, and fettling required etc......luckilyy myy insurnce polic covers me to use a fitter of myy chuce.

Your collective thoughts and experience would be appreciated.

I had my windscreen replaced last year with a genuine screen by TVR Central, an absolute perfect job, very happy

They replaced the screen on my previous Chimaera and did a great job!

I had mine done in November last year. TVR Central ask for Adrian, superb service and job.

My Griff was done by David Gerald's last year. Or rather their company of choice, all fine.

Autoglass did mine in May 2014. Was concerned at first, it being a pattern part, but no problems, with a lifetime guarantee! Good fit too.

It helped that they had done one before. They had it indoors for 24 hrs after putting it in for the bonding to completely cure. There's quite a lot of pressure on the front rail when the hood is fitted.

I'll be surprised if there are any 'genuine' screens left. Any ones TVR Central had probably went up in their fire in the Autumn.

Happy to recommend a decent indie who knows what he is doing.

Proper petrolhead, cares about cars and the job he does. Decent bloke and occasional PHer.

Downside is, he's based around Daventry - so may be a bit too far? Happy to PM a number if you wish to call him.

I live near Daventry and wouldn't mind his number please. Useful to know a decent windscreen man, will need one in my Chim soon.
