It's got extra LED lamps all over the place.
Also it seems to have lambda sensors. So NOT pre cat.

I like the look of 16-inch Spiders on a Chimp.

Odd spec - must be a really early one ? - is the internal door release in a funny place? Plus the manifolds are flanged like the Griff precats but then have a special flanged catted Y piece. And only 32k on it?
With the spider hub conversion, AP brakes and a 4.3 in it I'd have thought they could break it for more than that - good to see it being sold instead.

Agree it has a cat. All early Chimaera have bolted Y-piece. Changed with serpentine engine in late 1994 (I think?).

The door release is in the position of all early Chimaera. Love the wheels, but all those diodes look tacky imho.

That's a very early car with that door opening set-up, I don't think many were produced like that.
That is a pre-serp engine, it has the combined swirlpot/header tank of the ealier cars and the early alternator bracket apart from the correct bolted exhaust.

Shame it's been messed around so much.

Passenger side headlamp reflector looks corroded, that'll be a big job to fix and all the harder as this model had access via the grill

Getting hard to find un messed with 430`s.So mods to improve are no shock. We went to look at a 4.0 up for sale last weekend (my mate is buying one). It was the 16th Chim ever made made according to the only owner who ordered it from the factory. Turns out to be 1 chassis number before mine.

I agree mods to improve are no shock, it is moot and a matter of personal opinion however as to whether whats been done to this car can be called improvements, especially the dashboard.

Same as mine. #1359, date of first registration June, 11th, 1993. 8-bolt flanges on the original headers, pre-serp, early alternator bracket as per this one.

Suspiciously cheap at that mileage even when accounting for a body-off chassis repair.

this was for sale on ebay a week or so ago from a private seller..........it was an auction but it ended only just after it went live when the bids were sub 2k..........so assuming these chaps called and snapped it up

From memory the car had been stood unused outside a number of years and there was a tide mark round the carpets from water ingress

If I can find the old ebay add i'll post it here

NB - interestingly they are selling it with a full 12 months MOT which it just passed on the 12th Jan with "no" advisories........now that's impressive

Yes I remember it now, it did disappear rapidly from the auction.

And if you search it's MOT "history" you will find some even more impressive info.
