Is it normal for driveshaft bolts to be checked at a service? Got my Griff 3 months ago, dealer had got a service done (40k or thereabouts) prior to delivery.
Three weeks ago the bolts had worked themselves loose enough for the driveshaft to detatch.
I thought it was 'one of those things'. Went to pick up the car and the guy said they should be checked at each service. He was the last person to service it.
Anyone got any advice on this? I accept it's not something my warranty will cover (or will it?). I'm not going to dispute the bill, just curious as to whether this could have been prevented...

Dunno, but there are quite a few bolted on things (diff mounts and so on) that have to be checked during the service so it's possible?
