DIY Outriggers

I am at a position of replacing my outriggers, my question is what grade/diameter/ and wall thickness they are as I am thinking of making my own and using the old ones to make a jig. I don't think the makers will tell me.

they are 1.6mm wall thickness 36mm dia i believe but if your not sleeving the joins then go 2mm

I believe the tube is nothing fancy, just basic cold rolled ERW steel.

Inch and a half OD x 16 SWG wall tube. I used CDS and it's decent stuff. I also sleeved it with 6mm thick tube for extra bks strength

Thanks for the info I'll get in touch with our steel stock supplier, I think 2mm or even 2.5 Now I need to find an old set of outriggers to make a jig to speed the build up.
