European breakdown cover

Im off to Le mans Classic later in the year. Has anyone got any advice on getting european breakdown cover (not that it will be needed). Being that my Chimaera is now 23 years old and doesnt seem to fit in with any of the major players age limits.

My insurance cover with classicline includes Europe wide breakdown cover. as you say, the usual suspects may not cover a car that is that old.

I'm with Footman James and they also offer European Breakdown Cover as a bolt on extra.

Classic line are really good, but as long as you understand, that if you break down, it will be 3 or so weeks that you see your car again, this is the same with most others as well.

I have RH insurance.
They have European cover for up to 3 months at a time.

Has anyone used ADAC for their Chim or do the usual age restrictions apply?

I use ADAC on my Cerbera and no restrictions apply, none at all and all for Euro109 a year for both the other half and myself for full cover at home and abroad.

We really do get ripped off by the breakdown industry in this country.

I have heard a lot of good reports. So that is cover for the individual and no restrictions on the vehicle you are driving?

They use the AA in this country too I believe, just dont break down too many times in the UK or they can get a bit narky apparently.

When I was looking for European cover last year it was almost impossible to buy it separately, but I wasn't aware of ADAC at the time.
