If Jesus drove a car, he'd be driving a Chimera!
I've just had the pleasure of bringing the car to its new home, drove it up the M1, and down the M62 and M60. Because it was so cold, I didn't want to take any risks whatsoever, so I stuck to a nice 75-85 all the way.

Anyhow, as is probably usual, I have one or two questions:
1) There is a 'tick-click' sound from behind the speedo somewhere. As its speed dependant (about every 5 seconds at 70mph, 7-8 seconds at 30mph), I'm presuming its something to do with the odometer. The odometer seems to be clocking the miles quite nicely though. Its pretty quiet, about the same level as the indicator.
2) My feet are a bit cold. Its fine at 30mph, but at 70-80 on the motorway (admittedly it was extremely cold up there), my feet were cold, the rest of the car was warm (tried various heater combos to no avail). I turned off the little vent to my right knee, but I couldn't see vents near my feet. I could feel heat coming from under the wheel though. Is there an easy solution to this?
3) When do I stop grinning like a loon?
4) Is it normal for cars coming to overtake you to slow down, inspect your motor, before calmly accelerating away?
5) I was gutted when I got home and had to turn the engine off. Is this normal?

Open the heater vents as well. I has cold feet till I discovered these.

Never. Even when it gets taken away on a low loader.

Yes. You now drive one of the best cars in the world

Yes. If it gets to much, pop out for a pint of milk. The challenge is to do as many miles as possible whilst still forgetting the milk.

Indeed. The Speedo still contains the mechanism for the 1/10th mile, and it produces quite a loud click 10 times a mile... you soon blank it out.
ahaaaa, that sounds right. Its a 94 model, L reg. Once I've got some spare cash (new car and new bathroom takes up your change), I'll probably get that sorted. For now, my primary job is to change to remote central locking.

That looks like Grahams old Chim from South Yorks - if it is it will have been well looked after... nice buy grin never stops - just gets bigger.
Correct! Graham is a top chap, reproofed the hood, changed the oil, cleaned it up top to bottom, made me and my friends numerous coffees, and showed me the various bits and pieces to watch out for.
What the piccies don't show is the inch thick layer of grime from driving down a salty rainy motorway. Time to buy a good pressure washer methinks. Any recommendations?
