Anyone about who does their own repairs / maintanence on their TVR Chimaera? If "yes", has anyone changed a lower front wishbone - I guess pressing the old bushes out is a swine but other than this is it relatively straight forward? Also, where can I get lists of torque settings for the various bolts please.

Well I've had a variey of quotes Mark, but the wishbone seems to be around 80GBP and somewhere in the region of 120GBP for fitting. I understand that the wishbone comes without the bushings inserted. You'd be mad to reuse the old ones though after going to the trouble of pulling the suspension to bits.
quote:actually you'd be a magician! Pretty nigh on impossible to remove without destruction. Took a 50 tonne press to get mine out. Peninsula (and others) do some poly replacements which are a lot easier to fit, and will be a lot easier to replace when/if the time comes.

When you've got your new bushes in and youre ready to fit to fit the arm-get some nylon washers(as fitted to cerbera wishbone bushes)and fit these to either side of the bush when you refit the arm this stops the bushes from tearing,as they do-you may need to make the hole diameter of the washer larger to make them fit....
