new wheel report
Discussion
Hi, Just fitted a set of SP 12s with my favourite tyre Uniroyal rain sport 3 245/35/18 rear and 215/40/17 front.I listened to all of the hard ride stories and various other negative feed backs so now feel I should and my ten pence worth. The ride is no harder than before but is a lot more positive. The biggest difference is the steering which is much sharper to the point where I had to consciously under steer, it's spot on, I think the difference could be down to the difference in the wheel weight compared to standard. Whatever it is I narf like it cheers Keith
I was looking at a Chimaera on Friday that had 17F 18R wheels and I was very impressed with the cars stance etc,,
Allows for a natural rake and offers much more grip on the rears,,
Phazed car so also has very wide tyre for track days etc, very compliment car with loads of grip so it's defo the way to go.
