Base idle set up

Good morning all,
Can anyone help with confirming the correct procedure for setting up idle on a 430 Chim.
We have fitted a new manifold gasket along with a few other tweaks and now the engine is all over the place at tickover and revs just stick and wont come down.
Any advise and help would be appreciated.

I thought I'd find a thread on this easily but can't seem to. From memory, on a warm engine, you clamp the bypass hose shut, and use the idle screw to set it to 600 rpm, then release.

If you've had the battery off or ECU disconnected, it has to 'learn' the new fuel requirements and takes a few minutes on a warm engine to sort itself out. Mine does anyway!

Pretty much as above but if you have had it apart then you may want to check the throttle cable is not preventing a full closure of the throttle also to make sure you have connected the stepper properly and the pipe to the fuel pressure regulator.
