3.08 diff, quaife and eanns turbo - update

So I got the car running yesterday, with the awesome help from Shaun @ ms2tuning. Today ive been out driving and mapping and having fun. The power comes oozing in from about 2200rpm, very smooth and controllable. Each gear is now longer so 1st and 2nd is now very usable. Most surprising is the quaife diff which just grips no matter what I do. I'm running winter tires now and still very little wheel spin!

Nice, the 3.08 diff has to be the best solution if you have the power to pull it.

forgot to say the drone in the cabin around 2k rpm is gone now

Does the car feel slower and where did you get the correct crown wheel and pinion ?Are you in the UK ?

No Daz the turbo negates the fact that the 308 is a bit more heavy to turn. It just goes and goes and goes on an endless surge of torque.

I got the 3.08 from Dana Spicer in aussie, found it on ebay.co.au. Its the M78 3.08 one. Im in Norway remember?

The MS3x system is great. Its learning and mapping as I drive.

Yes your 350 hp monster should carry it fine. It feels a bit slower in acceleration, but its actually not at all, just longer more usable gears

Thanks! Quite happy with the black/shiny mix. Engine bay is well suited for a turbo!
