Not starting when Hot

Hi all,

Before anyone says its not the normal problem

I've already done the mod wise thing so I konw its not that and the starter when it goes seems fine thing is when you turn the key to possition 3 you should hear the realays clicking but I'm getting nothing. So has anyone had problems with the alarm getting to hot or any other wiring getting to hot I know that the heater pipes run through where all the realays live so could this be the problem.

Any Ideas

PS it only seems to do it when the heaters on full.

Sounds like the immobiliser to me. Get behind the dash, find it and move it. If you’ve got David’s kit fitted its easy to check. Mail me and I’ll explain (maybe later tonight though).

Before you start pulling the car apart... check it's not the battery on its way out.

Turn the headlights on, start the engine - if they dim the battery could be your problem.

is the pump priming?

do a search as thers quite a few threads on this and some tell about a few tests you can do first, as said before before pulling everything apart.

Fuel pump is live and the battery is OK I'm just not getting any power out of the Alarm for the starter motor.

Maybe time for a new Alarm system

The alarm is seperate to the immobiliser, it that which cuts the power, its easy to bypass, but not on here ! email me if you want directions for a temporary fix or procedure for testing.
