yes this car had a very active thread when it came up for sale a while ago, looks like it didn't sell then.

'98 Chimaera 500, full service history, black leather, mint condition, excellent chassis, serious brake & suspension upgrades, 50k miles, last 18k miles on totally rebuilt V8D short engine (H beam rods forged pistons, cross bolted) running after market ECU, ACT triple etc, etc, over 360bhp at the fly and 353 lbs/ft, (documented), 0-60 in under 4 seconds, and sounds like God throwing a wobbly smile
Quicker than a 911tt and a Gallardo. Asking a mere £24K, the grin factor alone is worth £5k of that biggrin

It's a V8 developments special similar to the one in the advert and also in Peters car.
Rob sent me this:
5.3 short engine, cross drilled crank, h-section rods and forged pistons, the cam was our mc1, the cylinder heads where the customers own big valve tvr 500 spec, we fitted bulleted guides and re-cut the seats, it looks like we also fitted adjustable push rods, calculated cr was 10-1.
I have up-graded the induction to 45 mm and fully decatted, plus the AfM, injectors and remap.
It tempting to change the heads and take out the Lucas but it drives lovely and can properly scare you, so not that likely!

I hadnt noticed what cam it had in before. I had little read and V8Dev website says power output to 5000 revs. Its still climbing beyond that from memory.If it is running well then what ever you do don't change it!
feels just lovely, but im running very moderate boost since I have 10-1 comp, around 5 psi. I have to do some more mapping and logging to see the psi amount its charging. It starts at around 2200 rpm and goes whoooosh over 3k Right now it feels like 350 hp and alot more torque than before, maybe 400 ftlb or more, over a wide rpm band!
