Old Tracker Found?

As the title, I was looking behind the panels in the boot (trying to find where the mice had got to!!!) and found this. Googled it and it appears to be an old tracker? Is it of any use, can it be reactivated? I've had the car for nearly 10 years so i think the back up battery will be dead by now.

When I bought my Griff back in '05 it already had tracker fitted. I subscribed to Tracker and they sent out an engineer to 'service' the unit, ie change the battery. The engineer couldn't find the Tracker unit even with the original installation notes I was told he had access to! In the end he called his office and they activated the unit to test it was working and it was. To this day I have never found it and the car has undergone an extensive rebuild back in '09. I discontinued the subscription as 1 my insurance decided it was no longer necessary 2 I wasn't confident the battery was still active, 3 the huge annual subs Tracker were asking year on year.

Yes as I said I've had the car nearly 9 years and the previous owner also had no knowledge of it so its not been in use for at least 12 years, will probably trace the wiring disconect & remove it.

You can now buy a tracker for around £30 that will ring your mobile if the car is stolen. Its position can then be tracked on your mobile phone using Google maps. Only cost topping up the Sim card every 90 days.
