RV8 Rover temperature sender mod (adjustable)
Discussion
I've been running with the Rover temperature sender and a 170ohm link for the past few months but now I have Rovergauge so I can check accuracy at normal running temperature. I've made a link wire that is variable from 100ohms to 214ohms so that the 'normal' temperature can be corrected. Adjuster can be removed and taped over when the correction is done.

Could you do the same thing for the oil pressure sender?
I don't see why not. You'd have to fit a lower pressure sender so that its output would read high. Then just a case of working out what resistance range would be needed to correct it. It's worth stating though that this is just a 'zero' adjustment. As the pressure or temperature deviates from the calibration point its accuracy decreases. With coolant temperature that's no problem because a temperature reading outside of the 'normal' zone is warning enough that something is amissGassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
