Mobile scissor car lifts

As per title, Has anyone bought one and what are your thoughts?
I am considering buying one.

I have one... It is the dogs and takes up a lot less space than a two post. Although I wouldn't consider it particularly mobile. It is seriously heavy.

It's ok, but you'll need a high current supply to the garage and the length of the platforms does not quite match the lift points on a chimaera's outriggers. I'll post some photos later.

It does the job well and it can be moved round with wheels supplied and using the pump station.

It is very heavy so hire a pallet truck for delivery and you'll need a way to get if off the pallet (I lifted it from the rsj in the garage roof)

+1 it's a great bit of kit that I would not be without now. You will need to make up some ramps to get on it and blocks under the wheels to get the rubber pads on the outriggers but once that is done the jobs a good un

Had one of these for many years. Sold it and and installed a 2 post, which is better in most cases but not all. Now I'm thinking of buying another.
It's great if you want to get in and out of the doors when working on the car. It's great for suspension and brake work. You can even do clutch and exhaust work, though this is not as easy as a 2 post.

The service with these guys is very good to.

Automech are a great company to deal with.

I've had a 2 poster, tranny jack, oil drain and recently a bearing press from them.

I am looking at the Automotech AS-7530D Garage Scissor Lift as well. Not fully worked out the man maths justification yet!

Reading the spec sheet its 240v Single Phase, how many Amps does it operate at? Is it a 13A plug or does it need a Fused Connection?

My two post lift works off a 13 amp supply.

I should imagine the scissor lift is the same but best to check with the supplier.

I run a "top quality" Chinese 2 post lift at home it has twin hydraulic rams runs on standard 13a socket personally I would have thought most of this kit were using a generic hydraulic power pack. However I could be wrong. Info from the supplier is the only answer

Check it does not need 3 phase.

Its massively heavy! Unless your garage floor is near perfectly smooth. it will be very difficult to move about.

most need a compressor to work the safety locks.
