Damaged tunnel bolster

Now that's a strange one.
left the car in the office car park with the roof off, it's a private area, in the country.
Came back to see the side bolster damaged. Looks like something has melted or branded an 8 or 9mm stripe across it.
Cannot believe the sun was that strong, could bird poo do this.
will try and post a pic tomorrow

Could it have been something like the Shard?
With the sun moving round and burning a line?

Someone has thrown a cigarette into it.

Happened to me in Manchester once - 5mm wide line on my seat. Stub of cigarette gave it away.
