Lower dash removal.?

Hi.
Just wondering how easy is it to remove the lower half of the dash, ie the part that the radio is encased in.
Im looking at getting it retrimmed in a different colour. NOT just the radio surround facsia, but the whole of the lower dash. Thanks..

there are a couple of brackets on either side of the stereo unit. The stereo needs to be removed, with the frame for the unit if it has one. There are a couple of screws on each side and if you remove these, the whole lower dash becomes loose and supported by the wiring.

Be aware, the lower brackets are held on with glue and are fun to get back in the correct place!

There may be a couple of brackets (B&Q style) holding either end to the A post then 6 nut/bolts roughly in pairs across the dash securing it to the front bulkhead moulding (a horizontal flange).
