Brake squeal ferodo DS2500 pads

I seem to be getting loud brake squeal but only on light braking from the DS2500 pads anyone else had this problem

Yes, but on Brembo calipers and 324mm discs,,
Exactly the same issue,
I tried to bed them in but after a week or so I then removed pads on the left hand caliper 2retaining pins and just swapped the pads around. I applied copper grease generously and it pretty much stopped it for now.

Its par for the course with those pads. Used then on my old Evo and it squealed like a pig all the time, did my head in after a while so changed them out.

Similar problem on my Tuscan with DS2500 Pads. Never had a problem with the Ferodo pads before. I have used the shims which have helped, but not got rid of it completely.

Just put a set of DS2500 on the rear of my Chim, no squeal, but they were properly bedded in by 120 miles of fast A roads followed by a track day. I think the squeal with many pads arises when pads that are race-biased are used around town without being bedded in properly first, so they get glazed.

I have Hawk pads on the front of my car, no brake squeal and, in my opinion, better braking than DS2500. Still fine around local roads, loads of bite on track, even when used for hard late braking.

I've ordered some of this,, by applying grease in the correct areas it does stop the noise.

Been using DS2500 pads front and rear on my Wedge for years, and never had an issue with noise. DS3000 compound on the other hand........ and a version of Pagids, very noisy on light applications of brake.

I sadly had that issue with Carbon Lorraine front pads. Probably great in a track only car, but in my road and occasional track car they quickly glazed and squealed like a stuck pig. Horrendous noise in the middle of town.
