fittings in hard plastic fuel pipe

there was a thread on here (i think) a while back discussing how to fit the fittings into this stuff, variuos suggestios and I actually found a link to a purpose made tool...... but can't find it now


Anyone remember it, put it in bookmarks or can find it again please?

Probably actually nylon not plastic?

Ends are just pushed in, no clamps, crimping etc.

On the S Series (but sure it wasn't on the S Forum) the short pipe from the pump to the filter and the long pipe from filter to engine bay are a form of hard but flexible, if that makes sense, plastic/nylon?

Think that here's a few tools that do it but as far as I'm aware they're always so expensive that you might as well run braided line, normally involve spending £100 on a V clamp with a threaded bar and a wing nut. If someone does have a cheap way of doing it that doesn't involve heat let us know

Not too keen on that idea, can't see what's happening to the rubber hose inside?

The thread I can't find discussed this, various suggestions, one used an adapted mastic gun to apply a firm even pressure?

I'm trying that next time, I even know what big lump of rubbery stuff I'm going to cut up for the vice
