radio aerial

I have just spent out on just about every type of aerial for my chim but because of the fibre glass body,i am strongly advised not to drill my wing.i have tried several aerials in the dash but whilst moving the reception distorts.aahhh!!! has anyone drilled their car or have a solution???

WTF do you need an aerial for?

As long as it can play a CD or a tape surly that's all you need?

Failing that, get a decent exhaust!

Tuner in the head unit is paramount, there seems to be an amazing difference in quality (not features / price). Somejust seem suited to the standard TVR aerial, mine is fine even tho its mainly only for TA, previous Blaupunkt was a waste of space.

My radio works fine and to be honest I don't have a clue where the arial is. I do know that it is not poking out of the bodywork anywhere and if it was I would not have bought the car. Can't think of anything worse.
I have a vague recollection of seeing an aerial somewhere that is fitted underneath the car and was really made for "classic" cars (sounds like TVR teritory to me)where the authetic, clean look, was paramount.
Don't know how well it would work, but you could try asking some restoration companies.

Can't and don't want to hear my radio most of the time anyway. Too busy

Hi, I recently spent 400 hundred odd quid on a decent Alpine head unit and a hundred quid on an exhaust mod. I now only listen to the radio when i'm cleaning the car.I would'nt waste my life trying to get radio reception anymore.

Hi there,

If you decide that the mod-wise is the way to go I have a spare one sitting in my garage. Bought one to fit to my Chimaera, never fitted it because I removed the silencers and the engine noise was better then sold the car and now have a Tuscan that has a working radio.
