...Feeling kind enough to help me find a rattle ?
It driving me nuts. No garage at the mo or ramps or anything.

It's intermittent, I think resonant dependent, rather than rev dependent... and like everything wrong, it "sounds" like it's coming from 'everywhere'... Possibly gear linkage, ARB... Exhaust. Perhaps even clutch ... thing.

Dunno... need a peek. I'll bring money for pint n pie and gaffer tape to fix.

Don't rule out the exhaust box, especially if it has had any kind of previous work done on it.
I had a straight through pipe come loose and it rattled and buzzed dependant on what else was going on around it rather than purely with revs.

A most warm-hearted thanks to Peter and Michael!
Thank you both for your expert advice and guidance today on locating and sorting the most annoying of tin-rattles.
Your hospitality and assistance was most warming and very much appreciated. I hope I can repay you both (and family perhaps) with a pint, one day

Pleasure Issac, good to meet up.

You never know, I might persuade Michael to service and repair TVRs as a sideline scratchchin

So what was causing the rattle? How did you fix it? Did Peter's two post thing work OK? Why is it not raining this morning?

Forgot to say, my unbelievably annoying intermittent randomly located rattle turned out to be corroded loose sleeve in poorly modified silencer box... Silencer.. Ha! that's a larf biggrin

Turned out to be a loose exhaust bracket - expertly located by Peters deft punching action upon the exhaust, spotted by Michaels eagle-like eyes and deftly quashed by a 10mm socket smile
Michael is a wasted talent on anything that isn't dirty and old - he should definitely get into repairing TVR's and, indeed any type of 'real' car within a CAN smile
