Is this the right rotor?

Just got this from LR Direct and was wondering if this is the crappy one that people talk about on here. Is this likely to give me problems and if so, where can I get the right one from?




It even has 'Made in Italy' on it.

Back in the day when i had a distributor i always used one of these and never had any issues.

The one I had trouble with was blue in colour and was not "lucas", for what ever thats worth these days.

So there is a chance that this one will work? Or should I just get the Powerspark one?

I'd take the distributor cap off and try positioning the rotor inside the cap and see if it can pass the contacts within the cap, if so fit it and try, there not to expensive so possibly buy the Powerspark one too, you can never have to many spares

The best test is to just try it out, not the end of the world if it does not last, just keep the old working one as a spare in the boot.
I bought the red powerspark rotor and a black cap from them, the rotor looks ok but the cap is a terrible fit so i wont be using it.
Personally i cant see the powerspark one being any better than the one you have.

Well being only £8.00 with shipping I just bought a red Powerspark one too, it will be interesting to compare them.

The red powerspark one does not have the rivet holding the contact in place. The rivet could often be a source of arcing.
