According to the owners manual, the fluid in the clutch master cylinder should be checked every week

As this means removing the access panel, does anyone actually bother? If so should you replace the panel every time or can it be left off?

Otherwise, how often can you get away with checking the level.

Had the Chimaera a month now & enjoying every minute
but confess haven't checked the clutch fluid yet!

I checked mine when I had it and then every year. You would know if its leaking by having trouble getting full travel. The most likely places for a leak are at the master cylinder which usually ends up on the car mat under the pedal or the slave under the car. I have re sealed my cover as it lets water through into the footwell when I wash it. Depends what milage you do really for when to check. I only do a few thousand a year.

If you can when you check your clutch fluid please remove the fluid from the c. master cyl using a rag (clean rag)and refil with new-it saves all the s#%t passing through the cylinder-it would help if the correct dot fluid was used when they where built
