Chimaera v morgan

Hi guys,
Nipped over from the wedge forum.
Classic Car Buyer has an article on the Chimaera pitting it against a morgan, if anyone is interested.

Seems an odd pairing if you ask me? Can't see much crossover in terms of target market.

I don't think a comparison is necessarily that odd; I looked at both, and the Marcos Mantara, all those years (almost decades ) ago, and have recently been looking at the new Morgan Aero as I still find it difficult to know what to replace the Chimaera with. The Plus 8 is a great car, just different. Oh, and a flying jacket is mandatory in the Morgan, but not the TVR

The latest Morgans have 4.4 or 4.8 litre BMW engines putting out some serious power.....allied to serious price tags. But they do hold their value well.

5th Gear had the new +8 on last night - Plato was nothing short of hostile towards it, the only thing he could find to like was the engine.

My father in law sold his Morgan +4Supersport & now drives a 4.5L Chimaera which he admits is a much better all round vehicle..

I watched the VW racing from a soaking wet Silverstone this morning. How the bleep they kept those cars on track in that monsoon weather is beyond me. I'd have been in the gravel by the second corner.

I take off my metaphorical hat to them.....
