The mileometer (odometer) would only work if given a tap or went over a speed bump at speed so soon got fed up with this TVR quirk.
Had read a lot of comments about a not-so-speedy repair company then found ETB Instruments recommended by someone on here. An email was very quickly answered so phoned and they said they could do it. They received it on Monday at 11am and I got it back today at 10am - 4 days.
I asked for it to be calibrated as well as the mileometer repair and price including postage etc was £61.55.
The owner is a 30 year diehard TVR man so knows all about them.
If you have a speedo after 1995 - Chim or Griff - then they may not be able to repair it so contact them first.
That's another job done...;)

PS I have no connection with this company other than my recommendation.

I was reading this with great pleasure until the bit about cars after 1995, mines been playing up and it does get annoying,
I keep thinking I can't take it out and still drive the car but it's bloody useless anyway.
My speed signal box is redundant as my MBE doesn't use it. I know by revs what speed I'm doing, and on longer journeys I've resorted to using sat Nov for speed indication, it's time I started looking at repairing it though.

That's crazy, there again the footballs been on,
Seriously that's ridiculous, jeez I better get mind out now if I want it repaired by November by the sound of that Steve. Hmmm, what option do we have, very little by the sounds of it.

Is it a parts problem or just there huge work load?
