Fell more in love with my chim today!
Discussion
Bad choice of words on the title there as I never fell out of love with it as I've only had it 9 months now. But I am looking for a car that'll be just as quick/fun use as my daily now as I've beenot using the chim daily since December and will do through this summer but soon another winter will come but I want practical and fast and fun and 4 or 5 seats and a roof so a coupe or saloon and I thought the E46 M3 would be perfect. I tested one and wanted to love it. Don't get me wrong it's not slow, actually as I only have a stock 4.0 chim then I think the M3 would be quicker, however it did feel bland! I'm surprised how dull it was. I've got a budget of 8k and will stretch to 10know
The M3 did not feel like I hoped I don't want to miss the chim when I'm in it I want to know it's always there but like I'm driving a sensible alternative that I can cart people around in.
The M3 was with the smeg, sorry SMG box so I want to try a manual and possibly an E39 M5 manual.

Im a VAG fan and always fancied one of these, not particularly fast but very nice.
Like the Audi S3 too.

^^ That's a good shout! Been deliberating since the M3 let down though of lowering the budget and grabbing a good 330i for 4 - 5k better condition and milage etc but plenty quick enough for daily use. May look at similar other brands too. But a good RS6 would be tempting, saloon not estate though.
Had 3 E46 M3s between TVRs and the last manual one I had (Immola red) was faster than the 4.2 Cerb (60k so maybe due a rebuild). Started with the SMG (Estoril blue) and did not like the gearbox and changed to a manual black (Jet black). Absolutely brilliant car as was the Immola red one. Would have another tomorrow if I was allowed.
Try a manual as it may suit your driving style better. There really isn't a better all round family sized saloon out there. Ask Top Gear.....

Anyone ever experienced one of these? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
