Pays your money and takes your chance. My guess is that this is a £10 Chinese copy marked up to make it appear to be a very cheap genuine motor, however it doesn't look anything like the genuine motors. Many of the Chinese copies are wired differently so if you buy it I'd suggest you check the plug pins are in the right place
I have got a 14 quid eBay special on mine which has been fine for the last 12 months/8k miles. The spindle was a little longer which can catch folks out with many of the cheapies but I just had to add an additional fibre washer. I reckon a lot of the mid priced ones are the same as the cheapies!

You were fortunate. I bought a £13 ebay special in Dec 2013 and the engine would idle at about 2k rpm. So embarrassing at junctions! Bit the bullet and fitted a £90 one. Been fine since. CHIMV8 said:

When i parked the car up she was idling badly, note the shaft is full out in the pic,we came to the conclusion the other day that the stepper was all over the place resulting in bad idling issues throughout a run out, from not holding idle at all,to fluctuating issues from 200 to 800 revs when idle.
The new one came with its own sealing gasket as you get see in pic below
Once fitted she idled well, ran her for a mile then had to rest idle on plenum as she was holding at 1200,due to the issues previous and trying to sort the issue with the old stepper.
All i can say is she ran like a dream,in fact as you are all aware i've been having issues for ages on this, she ran the best i have known, she picked up instantly on every occasion......i was like a kid in a sweet shop to the point, aguy in a flash Merc pulled up next to me at the lights and asked what i had under the bonnet LOL as he struggled to keep up with me over the last few miles.
Including delivery the stepper cost £43,a lot less the £80 to £100 plus vat from TVR specialist suppliers
