suspension knock

have had my 450 chimaera since dec and it has an annoying knock from front n/s suspension. changed shock absorber, ball joints and all bushes and it,s still there on small bumps.almost like the suspension unit is hitting something, any suggestions ? peter

Most likely a family of squirrels is living in the wing, and your driving is disturbing them.

There are always two ways to approach a problem. The first is to solve it, the second is to go round it.

Why not have the baffles taken out of your silencer, or better still, have straight through pipes put in? I can almost guarantee you won't hear the knocking again.

already got a super sports exhaust and decatted manifolds with non reversal cones, still can hear it.

Check the roll bar mounting at the radius arm/wheel mounting - I had a loose nut securing the ball/rose -joint. Thought it was the steering rack initially.

thanks, will try that, will keep you infod. down to mech racing in cheltenham on fri for new trumpets, induction goodies and mr. adams to fit his tornado gizmo to my merlin. looking forward to a bit more magic from the beast.
