Under reading Rev Counter

my 5.0 beastie's rev counter doesn't register the correct revs....or at least I don't believe it is only doing 200 revs at full throttle....! Anyone know if the only solution is to replace the counter or whether there might be some tweak somewhere that I can do?

Get it repaired at ETB instruments - very quick turnaround.

Mine is showing 2000 revs in forth for 50mph IIRC this should be nearer 2500. Either my speedo is very enthusiastic or the rev counter is wrong. I suppose I could have a very high ratio diff but I suspect the rev counter.

Are they subject to noise and can they be adjusted without sending them on holiday ?
