north south divide

last year i traded my 500 chim to a indie in the midlands (a MAD bunch) they gave me the money i wanted and i got a lovley tuscan. I was suprised to find that after 3 months and reducing the price by nealy £3,000 they could not sell it. I have just seen the same car in a indies in the south for £4,000 more than the midland trader was tring to sell her for, is the north south divide that great.

Some people on here will remeber a Chim I went to look at that was for sale for £3k (needing some chassis work).. I didn't buy it basically because of the salesman (no comment). Anyway to cut a long story short, they did the car up themselves and put if up for sale at £10k.. a few people went to see it (and some from here) and it didn't sell (it was a fairly negelected example), so a couple of weeks later the same dealership put the price up to £12k and it sold almost immediately. Go figure..!
