Hello there, I have recently bought a Griff and have been into the passenger footwell looking at the battery already. I notice there is a white plug with a black link of wire in that bunch of wires that sit on top of the battery. Can anyone tell me what this link is for and which two wires should be linked as one end of mine has come off.

Let's just check we are talking about the same plug. Is it a large(ish) white one, with positions for five wires. Only three wires are actually present, which are black/grey, white/green, and white/pink.

If we are talking about the same plug, then it is the diagnostic plug for the Fuel Injection control unit (which I use for mapping them).

The black wire is there to ground the input signal wire to prevent random noise being picked up by the ECU. It should connect the black/grey wire to the white/pink. Both pins are in the bottom row of the plug.

Thankyou very much that's exactly the one I'm talking about and now I know what it is and where the wires go.

Thanks again.
