I was going to offer up the seatbelt brackets once the body was on, tack them in, lift and weld. But just want it done now.

So, could someone possibly post any pics (preferably birds eye view) of the seatbelt brackets on a naked chassis so I can get a rough idea of where it needs to be welded. Also, how big is the plate? I measured roughly 150mm x 60mm. And also what gauge steel plate do you use?

Before anyone asks, I lost the memory card that had ALL the pics and videos of the body lift/chassis strip, so have no references to go by now. Just a wing and a prayer.

Thanks
Cad

Dimensions sound about right and in 3mm plate.
Can check for you in the morning.

It helps. Thanks Ged. Although one from a birds-eye view or any view that shows both sides of the plate would be even better.

That's a bit difficult as the car is rebuilt - currently being painted - but the plate actually leans backward and then needs bending forward to follow the tub. I back drilled mine once the body was refitted.

Just found these if they are of any use.

Thanks mate. Yep saw that earlier and saved the pics. Those two others are very handy and should suffice thumbup
Will be so glad to get the body back on after all this time. It's been too long.

Too long... cry
Crushed a disc in my back last year, which put a hold on things for a number of months. Also been a few deaths in the immediate family, so been pretty busy with other commitments. Been back on the Chim now though for a couple of months and chassis is almost rebuilt. Just going to renew the brake & fuel pipes, after some deliberation :|

Will throw a few pics up on 'saved from the scrappers' thread I started a while ago tumbleweed
