I'm having the chassis on my 'T' reg Chimaera 450 replaced in the Autumn. Is it worth getting the new chassis Waxoiled or similar before the transfer work starts?
,I am presuming you are using powder coat, but if its paint then it doesnt really matter as long as it has a zinc primer or hot Zinc coating after it has been sand blasted. I did not bother Waxolying as any decent coating medium is millions times better than the TVR flakey affair, and also makes it easier to clean during the winter whilst your TVR hibernates from all the rock salt on our roads
. I would fit outrigger protecting plates both front and back, as it stops mud ingress and stones chipping you loving new coating, just Google TVR chimaera outrigger protection. I had my chassis totally refurbished 4 years ago and thus far still all shiny
