Recently changed my oil pressure sender, this resulted in increased readings on the in dash gauge, happy days thinks i but today my low oil pressure warning light starts to illuminate dimly whilst I'm driving, the gauge still shows healthy numbers but obviously I'm concerned and want to connect an external gauge to determine exactly what oil pressure if any i have..
I don't own such a tool, can anyone recommend one please?

Cheers Paul.

Cheers for that,i did look at them but wondered if i would be better off with something with a 1-100psi scale rather than 1-500?

I'm about to use a Clarks pressure tester similar to the one suggested above which I've borrowed off another friendly Tvrvowner, ( cheers Pete) I'm not sure what rate it works at but my gauge is exhibiting 5-10 psi at tickover so I want to find out myself what's going on, at least this is another indication so better than no test at all.

As I'm sure you know the red light should only come on at around 5-7 psi!

Paul,
Not sure where in Derbyshire you are but I'm just over the border near Abbots Bromley in Staffs. If you want to drop by you can check it out at my place.

Thanks everyone for replys and Ian for your kind offer,I'm not wanting to drive it until I get to the bottom of this so would have to trailer it over.
I've ordered a 1-150 psi gauge which should hopefully be here in a day or two,I'll update the thread with results and in the mean time try not to think of the costs of engine re builds
Cheers Paul.

Could always take the oil switch out and start the engine, every metre the oil sprays = approx 5 psi ... wink
