Hahahah, lads anyone can wash the body down, it's the nitty gritty under the bonet you've got to concentrate on
Why we clean things, jeez I really did do that didn't I.
It was actually a friendly dig at one of our famed Tvr friends who likes to drive hard around tracks but hates the idea of cleaning his car
Maybe it's because I assembled the front suspension on my car which is why I need to check it more often than he does

Nice pic and smooth lines, I sometimes wonder what you could do with a decent camera !
Great colours on your cars lads, ave it ..

We'll thanks Alan. We've gotta start somewhere. The body seems like a good place. You do have the most famous shining engine bay on here. We'll move on to the bits no one sees soon enough.

Great pic by the way. Ice blue looks good too.

You clearly havent seen my thread where I spent 3 days on paint correction alone.....Engine bay etc will be addressed over the winter months when I am not using the car. :P

Thanks Paul. I looked at your car in classifieds and thought about it. But didn't make sense to chuck mine in after less than 12 months. Well done on your purchase. Was a steal for a 500 in the best colour
It needs quite a bit doing but happy to have it as a long term project! It was in with Neil Garner for a week last week for them to investigate and work up a quote for chassis refurb... just awaiting the scary email now! Really pleased I took the plunge when I did.nick_mcuk said:

Hahah, clearly not, my paintwork has a good few marks and scratches on it, got a link to your thread so I can gain a few tips
It's one of the few drawbacks of plastic cars maybe, least it won't turn into a rust spot overnight
I've got loads of those marks/scratches/dinks and I had a respray only a few years ago.
I notice some of these experienced car detailers can do wonders with marked paint,
I'm one of those who care more about the underneath more than the paintwork so I'll leave mine for awhile yet but eventually just use a detailer and start the process again.
What has been very useful is the touch up paint I received when having the car painted, I've used it once about a year ago and even stone chips sort of disappear but the one on my passenger door where someone's opened there door onto mine needs proffesional attention regardless of touch up paint!
I admire other spotless examples of our cars but I'm still to busy driving mine around to be to bothered about how it looks.
Saying that I wash it often enough and have a very deliberate process in doing so.
