Dunlop SP Sport 9000

Has anyone used these? I was looking at fitting Eagle F1 but you have to to mix GS2 and 3 to fit 15 and 16 inch wheels.

I was told I would be better having 4 the same rather than a mix of Eagles and the Dunlop Sports were suggested. Not seen them mentioned on here at all though?

I use them and they are great. Have used Michelin as well never gone with the Bridgestones. Have mine on 16 all round.

Defo avoid Goodyear as you're 100% right they don't do the right size for the front..... Shame I found this out after I bought the rears! Not noticed any problems though mixing GSD2 and GSD3 but I'm not one for really pushing my car to the limits.

Shortlad - I don't think you'll have a problem with the mixed 2 & 3 from what I was told. I would rather have 4 the same though and the Dunlops are a touche cheaper as well. Tyre situation for Chims is a nightmare.

Realism check - Goodyear have an Eagle and modify/improve it from 02 to 03. A road car has these fitted and "owners" are worried that having 02 on the front and 03 on the rear may be an increased "risk"?

Think someone is just a little paranoid. When you get to F1 and are "qualifying" for .0001 of a second, then possibly there's a risk !!

You pay's your money..........But I doubt Goodyear (and I don't have any shares/interest) would allow a "road car - even a TVR" to "notice-the-difference" - merely from an up-grade from 02 to 03. I very much doubt that it would up-set the balance of a road-car that much??v Eh chaps ????

Well, as an everyday driver I could tell the difference between Bridgestone SO2 and SO3, and that's enough to make me wary of mixing the different Goodyears.

All advice on a matching set for a 500 welcomed... preferably before it rains!

I've bed in my Toyos now and they are so far... AWESOME!

you are probably right about the everyday driver not noticing the difference between the 2 and 3 but it was Goodyear themselves who recommended a matching set rather than the mix of 2 and 3.

And Dunlops are cheaper........

My main problem was that I had the wrong size tyres front and back. Both were up a profile which I know doesn't make much difference but now I have the right profile on the rear I wanted the right profile on the front as the fronts looked a bit over-tyred. This was my main reason for changing over to GSD3's then found couldn't get GSD3's in 15" for the front.

I also prefer the tread pattern on the GSD3's

I have Gsds on bigger rims and find them great.
Just a thought for standard size rims,I have Nanking's ultra sport NS-II on the Sub,they grip like a school boy with his first penthouse,and have a nice looking tread pattern.
