Probably been asked a thousand times before but I'm a lazy bugger and the search facility is usually pants....
After new tyres, running 17" rims front and back, currently with 225/45/17 on the back and 205/40/17's on the front.
Plan on keeping the rears the same and changing the fronts to 215/40/17's but I'm having a problem finding a brand/model that do both sizes![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
Ideally I'm after something 'trackday' ish but this isn't essential, although wet weather grip is of little interest as the car only gets wet when it's washed.![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

When it became difficult to get Z rated 225/50 x 16s, many started using 245/45 x 16s on the rear. They are fitted on mine, and several other Chimaera and Griffs. A lot of online references don't recommend any wider than 235 on a 7.5" rim however!
It would be more of a problem on a front wheel I expect, turning and cornering forces may break the bead of such a wide tyre maybe?! I stand to be corrected.

I have TVR Estoril wheels on mine, and the Griff apparently had 245/45 x 16s as factory fit on the rear. At least according to old threads on here. TVR Parts sell them as such too:

Perhaps the Estoril is slightly wider than 7.5" ?
Mind you, the 225/50 x 16 is substantially cheaper!
