Thought I would show off the bonnet pins I fitted today - should finally cure the classic Chimaera 'bonnet flap'.
Its one of those things that will divide opinion but these I think are quite in keeping (very similar to the door poppers) and I have already drilled one great big hole in the bonnet so what is 2 more
The one on the drivers side is mounted into one of the pedal box captive nuts and I just mirrored the position on the other side.

I'm only used to the 'R' clip ones...

We have the same type as the passenger side of the bonnet was bouncing due to our bonnet catch being set high, this in turn to clear a breather on a catch tank. Surface and Design fitted ours and made a neat job but not impressed with the product itself. Fine for the first few months but after that the driver's side kept releasing itself no matter what we did with it. So now we use the passenger side bonnet pin combined with the standard catch arrangement. This is working well and of course the driver's side pin and disc are still in place, otherwise we'd have a pretty embarrassing hole in the bonnet
